Water Softeners
We install water softeners for homes and businesses in Maineville, Mason, Lebanon and the surrounding towns.
Hard water is common in southwest Ohio. You see it as white scale on faucets and shower heads, as spots on glasses out of the dishwasher, and as soap that won't lather well. Over time the same minerals build up inside water heaters and fixtures. We install water softeners for homes and businesses in Maineville, Kings Mills, Mason, Morrow and the towns around them. Most installs go near where the main water line enters the building, ahead of the water heater. We add a bypass valve so the softener can be shut off without shutting off water to the house. The unit also needs a drain line and usually an outlet nearby. We use Viega ProPress fittings, which join copper pipe with a press tool instead of a torch. Before we start, we look at where your main line comes in and go over placement with you. When we finish, you will know where the bypass is, and the work area will be cleaner than we found it. Call (513) 813-7526 or send us a note to set up an install.

Common questions
How do I know if I need a water softener?
White scale on faucets, spotty dishes and crusty shower heads usually mean hard water. A softener removes the calcium and magnesium that cause it. Call us and tell us what you are seeing.
Where does a water softener go?
It usually goes near where the main water line comes in, often in a basement, garage or utility room, ahead of the water heater. It needs a drain and usually an outlet close by. We go over placement with you before we install.
Does a water softener help my water heater?
Softened water cuts down on the scale that builds up inside a tank water heater. We also service older water heaters and install new AO Smith water heaters if yours is showing its age.
